RTLS has been designed and implemented along the lines of the loosely coupled model of web services; developed and deployed using Microsoft’s .Net framework. The RTLS web service has been implemented using Microsoft’s C# and is deployed on the IIS. The web service conforms to standards such as XML and SOAP to ensure ubiquitous access. The RDBMS used is SQL server.
